Let’s invent, build, and explore!

Come explore science, technology, engineering, art, and math through daily interdisciplinary challenges designed to engage young campers. This course is perfect for the budding scientist, engineer, or mathematician who loves inventing and tinkering.

Weekly Themes:

Week 1: Exhibition Design
Turn your room into a museum for…your LEGO figurines, dinosaurs, unicorns, little pets, or even your family! In partnership with Hervé Tullet, the renowned artist and children's book author, educators from the GIANT Room will offer interactive challenges for campers to create their own art pieces, build an interactive mini-museum, attract visitors, and showcase their creations! Campers will play fun creative games, learn artistic techniques, and build their creative confidence while sharing the joy of making and showcasing art. For more information about The GIANT Room, watch their TED Talk.

Week 2: Travel the World in Four Days!
Think like a pilot, explorer, tourist, or even a bug! We’ll take virtual field trips to all sorts of places around the world and tackle challenges, work collaboratively, and think creatively. Campers will master the design-thinking process while working with a variety of tools and materials on projects inspired by all the destinations they visit. This unit will also be taught by educations from the GIANT Room.
